Swedish massage is a gentle type of full-body massage that’s ideal for people who are new to massage, have a lot of tension or are sensitive to touch.
It can help release tension in the muscles throughout the body using techniques ideal to slowly increase circulation and healing in the body, and it’s also a good choice for when you just want to fully relax during a massage!

Therapeutic Massage

Prenatal massage  is a safe way for women to get some much needed relaxation during the months of pregnancy. 
It can help reduce anxiety, pregnancy specifics body aches, reduce stress, and ease muscle tension. You can get a massage at any time during your pregnancy. 
However, through the first trimester much care is taken to make sure we avoid any issues that may arise. 

Prenatal massage uses mild pressure similar to Swedish massage. The therapist will focus on areas such as your  hips, glutes or buttocks area and legs  you can be fully or partially undressed depending on your comfort level. During the massage, you’ll lie on your side fully supported and comfortable with proper pillowing or have the option to use the pregnancy cushion which allows you to lay on your stomach, the cushion grows with you so there is never any pressure on the belly! 

Most pre and postnatal massages include a breast massage which is optional. However your breasts are one of the first things to change once you become pregnant, from the sensitivity to the uncomfortable feeling of growing and fullness later on in the pregnancy. This type of Massage can help to alleviate some of /or all of these symptoms, using specific techniques we are able to being more comfort. 

Regarding postnatal breast massage it allows the release of oxytocin which helps the mother to relax, opening up and unclogging her ducts, thereby increasing the flow and production of milk.

Prenatal Massage

postnatal Massage allows the new mom some time to focus on herself and her body so that she can be the best version of herself! 

Improved mental and physical health – It is no surprise that giving birth has a big mental toll. After all, pregnancy causes hormone imbalance and an increase in the ‘stress hormone’ named cortisol. These massages help new mothers to relax and unwind, reducing cortisol levels and promoting good mental health. Moms new or seasoned are notorious for putting everyone before themselves, which in turn takes a toll on your physical body as well. Taking that 60 or 90 minutes for yourself, allows your body to relax so your therapist can deal with any problem areas and get you feeling 100% again. 

 Postnatal Massage massage as well as work with scar tissue can help with scars from past deliveries or new ones as well. It is best to wait typically 4-6 weeks after the cesarean was performed to allow for proper healing as it heals from the inside out!

The lymphatic/ sculpting portion helps to reduce swelling/ puffiness or adhesions in the face and underlying tissues by using Gua Sha tool and certain massage techniques. Giving the face a lifted, sculpted and relaxed look and feeling.
